Update (sorry its been so long): Lung is up! They have been beating her and using the incentive spirometer to build up her lungs and prevent pneumonia. She has up in her chair for an hour today, and once again had been up for about an hour when I called at 4:30. She is experiencing pain, of course, but they are switching up her meds to prevent addiction. Yesterday, she was extremely drowsy and I doubt she remembered us visiting, but the nurses say she has been more awake in the last 24 hours. Urine and NG outputs are great! No news regarding step down, but Im guessing tomorrow if all remains this stable. Shes a scrappy thing, that Peggy. #PeggysKickinCancersButt
