Usually Im all about sharing original video links to material. Not today. They dont deserve the views or the ad revenue from viewing the video. No group of people deserve to be disrespected, laughed at, or insulted for whatever sub-culture they identify with or are a part of and, sadly but not shockingly, MSNBC failed at that today. Many of you, as my friend base is fairly wide, are aware of the chlorine gas attack on a Fur convention this past weekend. 19 people were hospitalized because of the attack and the entire convention had to be evacuated for four hours before the police could contain and decontaminate the source of the gas issue. What should be treated as a highly serious matter where people were targeted at a Midwest convention instead turns into a hilarious situation for this one host who leaves the set during live filming to regain her composure because she finds the situation surrounding the attack so laughable. *slow clap**slow clap**slow clap* Bravo, Morning Joe. Youve proven exactly how narrowly-minded your hosts are to any sub-culture that isnt mainstream or widely known about or accepted. Many of the people at these conventions go to enjoy themselves, relax, have a good time interacting with and hanging out with people who share the same passions as them. Gas attack at a golf course during a major Seniors tournament: heaven forbid. Another attack during a Food and Wine festival in Chicago: how cruel. During Pride: how dare someone target a group celebrating their life. But a fur convention? Lets laugh at the furballs who got sent out into the cold for hours until the hotel was deemed safe. This lack of respect and understanding for people of different backgrounds, lifestyles, experiences, beliefs, etc. is in DIRE need of address in this country. Seriously, Mika Whatever-the-eff-your-name-is, you owe the ENTIRE fur community an apology for your conduct this morning and the disrespect youve shown of the community in general. For shame. For total shame. https://youtube/watch?v=hokijNt9-5E
