#Uzbekistan: As winter looms the dwellers of #Andijan are currently experiencing a severe shortage of electricity with many having to go without light in their homes for more than 12 hours a day. For the last twenty years most of the residential houses in Andijan have been lacking central heating – natural gas is almost unavailable. As a result people are forced to use electricity not just for lighting but also for cooking and heating needs. This is despite Uzbekistan having one of the largest natural resources of gas which the Butcher Karimov exports and fills his own coffers. fb/alkhilafahcom
