VA is such a good book series. I did, however, watch the movie first. Thus, I dismissed any desire to read the book that the movie was based on. The move was okay but it wasnt enough for me to get me to read the books. But when a friend of mine kept urging me to read the books, well, I did. And I am so beyond grateful that I did. I read 5 books and I still have 1 left to read. Each one was more amazing and shocking than the other. But, While I was reading I just couldnt shake that nagging feeling of frustration over how this series has been mistreated. Yes I confess that the movie iwasnt THAT good. But thats because it wasnt made EXACTLY LIKE THE BOOK. It has the same story line, dialog. Yes and yes. But it was going in such a wrong direction. The book is about friendship, devotion, loyalty, bravery, love and romance. The movie on the other hand, was a comedic version of the book. The comedy in the movie over shadowed the real content of the book. I really think they should give this series another shot. If done properly, it could be a HUGE hit. But I personally think that turning it into a TV show would be better. Itll contribute into exploring the books more and the characters.. but I think I speak for all the VA fandom when I say, Well take what we can get.. I really wish theyd give this book another shot. Its so upsetting to see such good books go to waste :( P.S. I live in UAE. So VA fans EXIST HERE TOO! Id like to conclude this with two questions, Which book of the VA series was your favorite? would you recommend reading Bloodlines?
