VAGABOND WEEKEND WEATHER . SNOWDONIA MOUNTAIN RANGE. How windy? (On the summits) Effect of wind on you? Friday - Variable, mainly westerly 10mph to perhaps occasionally 20mph. Small. Saturday - Northerly 15 to possibly 25mph after dawn, easing toward 10mph by late afternoon. Becoming small How wet? Friday - Rain or drizzle at times. Low confidence; moderate threat of one or two pulses of rain lasting a couple of hours or so. Saturday - Rain unlikely Isolated, if any, light showers. Cloud on the hills? Chance of cloud free summits? Friday - May be extensive Low confidence: Patches of low cloud base 300m to 450m west; and 500m to 700m east. A few breaks to higher summits for a while but threat of appreciable lowering in any more persistent rain. 30% Saturday - Very little Patchy cloud may form on higher slopes in morning. By midday, most summits cloud free, although the highest summits in the Snowdon range may clear only into the afternoon. 70% Sunshine and air clarity? Friday - Perhaps a little weak sunshine through veil of high cloud. Extensive fog at times across higher hills; occasionally very good visibility below cloud. Saturday - Patchwork of sunshine.
