VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center has been working closely with the Vacaville Police Department to treat two of their brave K9 dogs, Kamos and Koda, who have endured traumatic injuries. Kamos, who fell 18 feet onto asphalt, is going to physical therapy three days per week to treat two partially torn ligaments. Koda, after running an astonishing temperate of 105.7 degrees, received two surgeries to remove chest fluids and a lung abscess. Both dogs are recovering well and building their strengths back up, but these events have certainly drained the departments resources.
