Monday, Jan. 12 at 7p—Middle School Media Center ------------------------------------------------------------ There are 2 significant items on the agenda for this coming weeks board meeting: 1. ELECTION OF NEW OFFICERS with new ideas to lead the Board as we face major challenges ahead 2. TOPIC OF SCHOOL FINANCES & BUDGET ISSUES We have a most serious budget deficit problem – $757,000 in this budget year and $1,196,000 next year. [You can find details in the agenda packet available through the school website for the Jan 5 Finance Council Meeting as well as the long term enrollment projections]. The enrollment trend continues downward which makes our financial problems even more difficult to solve! Community involvement now can make a difference for the future of our schools! Difficult decisions lie ahead. Come and give input, ask questions, share suggestions and get involved so that together, we can help and encourage our new Board to make the best decisions possible for the long-term survival and growth of our district.
