Back burning has been completed along Betts Creek Track. Crews continue to blacken out the edge of the control line that has been established. Due to rainfall in the area, aircraft will continue to monitor the spot fire located north of Betts Creek Track. Rappel crews have cut a helipad area on the north side of Betts Creek Track to assist with the suppression activities of the spot fire on the western side of the Snowy River. They are also beginning hand trailing the edge of the fire as it is not accessible by machinery. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. The next update is expected by 06/03/14 5:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions.
