VOTE OF THANKS ON THE OCCASSION OF THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF LEDUMADUMANE FILLING STATION - By Hon Banks Ndebele Master of ceremony, The Honourable Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Rre Patrick Masimolole; distinguished guests, and the public! its indeed an honour and great privilege to have been asked to propose a vote of thanks on this occasion of the official oppening of Ledumadumane Filling Station. I, on behalf of the management of Ledumadumane Filling Station, and the entire community of Ledumadumane, and on my own behalf extend a very hearty vote of thanks to all speakers for gracing this important occassion. A big Thank You to Rre Masimolole, our area MP for your moving speech and having taken time to be with us on this important and historic occassion. I was particularly attracted to your central idea of encouraging opening up of businesses such as Ledumadumane Service Station in the country as they bring development and also create jobs. I must mention my deep sense of appreciation as the area councilor for Mogoditshane North of the Khan family for having chosen our area as a place to do business. We are greatly honoured indeed. It is no cloark and dagger that Ledumadumane Filling Station has brought numerous positives to Ledumadumane. I believe one day when I am no longer in the position I currently hold and I am asked, what my legacy is, I will simply say, do you know Ledumadumane Filling Station? That is one of my legacies. Master of ceremony, this mega development has indeed changed the face of our area and provided an important landmark for identity. Now I can easily direct people coming to Ledumadumane by mentioning this landmark. A significant number of young people from the Ledumadumane are employed here. This is to be greatly appreciated in this time when unemployment has become a big challenge in the country. When I am still councilor, I promise my unfettered support to any business venture that contributes meaningfully to the welfare of the residents of Mogoditshane North. Now, finally, since I did not receive a token of appreciation, may I publicly request the Khan family for a memorable gift to the youth of Ledumadumane by sponsoring a soccer tournament during the President Day holidays. I have been sponsoring this tournament for the past three years, and it has now been registered in the minds of youth in this area as an annual event. Ladies and gentleman, I cannot thank everyone enough for their involvement, but it has been a great pleasure. Thank You Very Much! Pula!!!!!
