Vacancy Announcement Cashier External A private, non-profit, International humanitarian organization, whose objective is to provide free medical care to populations in crisis, is advertising for nationals to fill the following position: Post title: Cashier Agreement Status: 6 Months including 3 months of probation Duty Station: Al Salamah Salary: Level 3, Based on the organization scale MAIN OBJECTIVE OF POSITION Controls cash movements in the petty cash box, checking compliance with MSF rules and protocols to have a trustworthy record of the movements in the petty cash. Performs secretarial administrative activities (correspondence, telephone, writing minutes, documents, mail, photocopies ...) according to the instructions of the supervisor and MSF rules and protocols to ensure efficient administrative support to MSF office staff. FUNCTIONAL AND HIERARCHICAL LINES Reports to the Administration Assistant. Collaborates with all staff in the project. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS • Performs coding and records cash transactions in the daily cash book. • Checks the validity of the invoices and that identification codes are correct. • Checks the documentation and authorization to withdraw money from cash box. • Controls and monitors cash payments from the cashbox. • Performs currency exchange operations. • Performs daily check-ups of the cash box to investigate the possible differences and their causes. • Prepares payments of salaries and allowances. • Performs monthly reconciliations before closing the monthly accounts with Administration Assistant. • Follows up cash advances and ensures they are duly refunded in time. • Carries out transfers’ requests between cash and safe box, assisting the Administration Assistant. • Introduces cash transactions in FFC following MSF rules and protocols. • Writes and/or checks official letters, reports and other documents related to the mission. • Arranges and confirms appointments, keeps a diary of absences, meetings and holidays updated. • Is in charge of preparing minutes of meetings. • Manages office stationary supply and place orders on time in the logistical department, to avoid running out of stock. • Supervises printings and binding of documents. • Informs supervisor in the case of any incident/problem. REQUIREMENTS Education Qualifications or professional diploma in administration / accounting. Experience Experience in accounting (minimum 1 year). Languages Arabic and English essential. Knowledge Essential computer literacy (word, excel) Competences Able to work under stress, organize the workload. Be independent and responsible for the results of his work. Showing behavioral flexibility and teamwork, working in an international team. Service orientation.
