Vacation is over. I had no idea how much I needed it after the move from Austin back to Big Spring, opening the trailer, being sick for almost 3 years..e to find out, it weighs on a fella a little... Skiing was awesome. I actually took to the slopes like a duck to water... Who am I kidding? I took to the slopes like a duck to a 12 guage shotgun shot by Uncle Si...they say that you are the sorest two days after. Nope. I got a feeling this whole week will be a rotation of ibuprofen and Ben Gay... But I had a blast trying and hope to get better at it. I was blessed to really get to know my girlfriends brother Richard. Hes an awesome dude (and the luckiest b***ard on the slot machines that I have ever seen). It was awesome to hang out with him, his awesome wife Licia, and their kids Trinity and Chelsea. My girlfriends kids were awesome. Lars killed about 200 cans with his bb gun. Smilla was so patient with me as I rolled down the mountain behind her. And little Zola roughed out an absessed tooth, excruciating pain, and still managed to be an angel. And by the way, all five kids were AWESOME sous chefs! As for me, I (of course) still managed to be a jackass a few times, but honestly learned a lot about myself and what I personally need to do to make me better in the eyes of my girlfriend and God. And I realized that a few little things that I do or do not do can have a huge effect on things - and that makes the whole trip worth it.. Thank you, babygirl, for including me on your family trip. I look forward to the next 40 vacations with you....
