Verse For Today 7-3-14 Your throne has been established from the beginning; You are from eternity. (Psalms 93:2 HCSB) *ESTABLiSHED* The beginning and the end As I sit here and try to wrap my mind around the depth of these few words I am humbled to the core. I find myself laying prostrate in awe of His greatness once again. In just one sentence this verse takes us on a roller coaster ride through reality. Like a time machine we are quickly whisked away to the beginning of time and the snapped back into another world where time has ceased to exist. God is and will always will be. The verse defends its case in four powerful but yet intuitive words. You are from eternity. This takes me back to my childhood and the days of carefree adventure. Dreams of time travel and spaceship rides. Star Wars was in full swing and the movie Back to the Future staring Michael J. Fox was the highest grossing film in the year 1985. The name of the film never struck me as odd till now, call me a little slow if you must. How can one go back to the future and in a similar paradox how can someone be from eternity? When we think of eternity we often restrict its meaning to a future tence. How wrong this verse proves us to be. You see God functions at a supernatural level far beyond our human capacity. To put it plainly eternity has always been and will always be. Such is the case when it comes to our loving Creator, God Almighty. He was, and is, and is to come! With that being said I want to propose a challenge. Take a few minutes and really study this verse. Read over it several times, let it sink in and chew on it for a bit. Then ask the Lord to open your heart to what this scripture really has to offer. Now, after you have done that I want you to think about your current situation. Put it into perspective with this verse. Remind yourself that if God is so absolutely brilliant and all powerful do you not think that He can handle your situation? Really ask yourself this, Is anything to big for God? The answer is no, period. Nothing is impossible with for Lord! Give every trouble, care and concern over to Him. Let the Lord carry your load. Ask for His help in any area and believe with all your heart that it will be done. For the word says that whatever you ask in the name of Jesus it will be done. Cross check your request by asking yourself, Would Jesus Himself ask for this? If the answer is yes than rest assured that what you have just asked will be granted. For that is truly what in means to use the authority given in the name of Jesus. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and let not the cares of this world trouble you.
