Very powerful stuff for a guy who has always flipped out, bitten the leash, lunged, barked, etc., upon seeing another dog. Not dog social, cant go to dog parks, not allowed at daycare, but look what the magic of structured pack walks and slow intros with carefully selected friends will do. Introducing, a new patterning of behavior and a new association with dogs encountered going forward! This is not an overnight fix for reactive dogs, dont get me wrong, this is a behavior management and conditioning process, but until you block unwanted behavior with the right tools and handling, then demonstrate alternate options in a positive way, you cant begin to truly move forward with permanent results. Today we passed two yards with pretty intense dogs displaying guarding behavior and Dillon was completely calm. He took his cues from the group and disregarded the stimulus. Thats exactly what we want!
