Very proud of my daughter. She said she was expecting a D in Games, Psychology and Society but when the professor saw her work she handed in for her assignment, he was so impressed, he gave her an A+! She turned in a game incorporating her own life experiences and values entitled The Last Good Man in Town. It was set in the fictional town of Small Fork, ND and was a game where you played the role of a man who ran a small business, and was uncle and adopting father to a young girl in a wheelchair. In the role you play, you are faced with a number of issues you must respond to correctly, including small town politics, school politics, bullying, customer relations, friendships and medical care. Correct responses would win you rewards which are not revealed until the end of the game. My wife, my sister-in-law and I all participated as guinea pigs in the pilot version and provided feedback. We all came away extremely impressed. So did her professor! Great job, Cassie!
