Very rough weekend for the crew and driver. Saturday, we only got on track one time for 5 laps(starter broke). Then heavy Rain came and canceled the last practice. Then one class prior to our heat race it rained again. Our heat race was schedule for 9 am Sunday. Sam started 6th place and had a great start. Went into first turn in 3rd. Got tangled with several other karts in 2nd turn (hit a kart which spun in front on him) which bent his axle. It broke on the second lap. We fixed the kart and he started the feature in 6th. He then was pushed into the wall on the 2nd turn. But worked his way from 7th to 5th. He did a great job! We are all exhausted . Cant wait for the next time..
