Veterans 6 months paid top-notch IT training- Services Academy Associate Program (SAAP) Eligibility Requirements The Services Academy Associate Program is an entry level program for candidates with 3 years or less work experience and Veterans who have a passion for technology. • Veteran Eligibility Criteria: Honorably discharged with at least 4 years of service; ASVAB score equal/greater than career field requirements; Achieved a rank of E4-E9. • Non-Veterans: Bachelor or advanced degree from a 4 year university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Resumes will not be considered unless overall GPA and graduation date is included on the resume • Technical degrees including Computer Science and Engineering or Cisco Network Academy graduates strongly preferred. • CCNA or CCNP certification highly desirable, but not required. • Willing to relocate to a Cisco Training campus for the duration of the 6 month program. As a consulting engineer, your number one focus will be to help customers assess, plan, design, deploy and operate their networks effectively while delivering the best possible customer experience. You will operate in a fast paced, high impact environment where you will directly contribute to the success of Cisco’s customers in deploying and utilizing the latest networking technologies. You will see a wide variety of real world customer networks and be constantly challenged to expand your networking knowledge. Associate Network Engineer During the program you will acquire and hone your technical and professional skills and set the foundation for your professional networking experience. The technical training will include CCNA, CCNP or CCIE written course work. Professional skills include teamwork, inter-personal, writing, presentation, and consulting skills. You will also participate in role exposure activities and on the job training that provide opportunities to put into practice the skills you have learned.
