Via Julia Curry Amico: Someone wrote this poem for the Fox & Friends (for Fans) page, who I am friends with. September 11th Tribute September day with skies so blue. It’s Tuesday morn what do we do? Well, work of course, it’s time to go. The camera shows what we don’t know. The smoke, the fire, the gasp and shock. Another plane the fire and pop. Dear God, we prayed, please make it stop. We watched in awe; we watched them fall, Running feet are all we saw. We called our moms; we hugged our kids. We shed some tears- bad things they did. Our country stopped, we looked to see, another plane had hit DC. And far away, up in the skies, those wicked souls heard heroes’ cry. For good men stopped at nothing less, than keeping others safe from death. With power and love they “rolled” it all, to keep us safe with great resolve. We stand united- sea to sea, where liberty reigns, there we will be. For we stop not when we are hurt, we gather up from in the dirt. Twelve years back, we don’t forget the lives we lost with deep regret. We build them back -it is a must. We live these words “In God we Trust”. Death, oh yes, we feel thy sting, but time and pride have healed some things. To all on earth it’s plain to see, our lives go on where FREEDOM RINGS!
