Via Mike Huckabee for America It’s time to shed a little light on dark money…Dark money is money spent on political advertising by 501(c)4 and (c)6 nonprofit groups that don’t have to disclose their donors. Liberals did a lot of railing about conservative dark money, until they discovered it, too, with a vengeance. Now, according to OpenSecrets.org, over 2-and-a-half-million dollars in dark money has already been spent on the 2014 elections that are still a year away. And 70 percent of it has been spent by liberal groups. Their dark money spending is up 6700 percent since the 2012 election. This is why my solution to campaign finance reform is simple. Let people give as much money as they want to a political candidate or party. But reveal all donors publicly. That way, any politician who allows himself to be bought would have to show the public the receipt. And there’s no better way to make the cockroaches run than to turn on the light. -Mike Huckabee
