Via Shaykh Idris Samawi Hamid: Bismi Rabbi al-Husayn (S) One of the pillars of Western Imperialism over the last two centuries lies in its never-ending wet dream of privileged white men saving brown women from brown men. Of course, in this Feminist age, we have to add privileged white women as a conjunct to white men. In the interest of Islams strictures against race-based discourse, in what follows we will speak of Euro-American instead of white, where the term Euro-American is being used to represent an ideological orientation adopted by many privileged white as well as by *coopted* privileged brown or other peoples of non-European origin. This syndrome (in its race-based formulation) has, interestingly enough, been identified most emphatically by left-wing feminists such as Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak. From the (crude) Tarzan to the (beautiful) film Avatar, from Pocahantas to Malala, this syndrome of Euro-American Liberal arrogance has continued unabated. The latest incarnation? The anti-news headline Iran Hangs Woman Who Attacked Rapist in dozens of forms across the Internet (such as World outrage as Iran executes rape victim). Never mind that, according to the investigation, ***** 1. The man was stabbed in the back, not the front (shades of Surah Yusuf here..) and stabbed on his prayer rug.. 2. The defendant texted her friend earlier, saying “I will kill him tonight.” 3. The defendant purchased the murder weapon two days earlier. 4. The man died trying to get away from the defendant, while crying Thief, thief!. 5. No physical evidence of an assault on the woman was ever presented as far as the anti-news sources or the investigation have claimed. (and note that many of the anti-news outlets headlined her as a rape victim even though she never claimed that the man *actually* raped her!!) 6. In Iranian (and Islamic) law the right of Qisas is given to the family of the murder victim, not the State. 7. The family of the real victim (including many women for sure) did not forgive the defendant, despite attempts by the Prosecutors office to mediate between them. Instead. the faceless Iranian *man* is slandered in front of the world as a rapist, pronounced guilty by the Western Liberal media with not a shred of criticism. After all, hes a *man* in *Iran*, and a *musalman*, so he must be horrible and deserved to die!!! And the defendant is paraded as some poor innocent victim who needs privileged and enlightened Euro-American men (and women) to save her. Allah SWT knows best what really happened in this incident: No private group of three will come to be except that He is the Fourth among them And Allah knows best how objective the original investigation was. Yet in the overwhelmingly biased reporting of this incident we see evidence yet again that this Privileged Euro-American Mans wet dream -- saving brown women from brown men --, further enabled today by the Privileged Euro-American Woman, remains and will continue to serve as one of the bedrock pillars of Western Imperialism and Neo-colonialism.
