Victor Valdes agent Gines Carvajal is set to fly into Liverpool to discuss a move for his client, This is Anfield claims. The website believes Valdes is understood is very eager to join the club and there are even suggestions he may be willing to take a pay cut on the £90,000 a week wage he earned at Barcelona. They also suggest a deal has already been agreed in principle following constructive talks over the last few weeks. Meanwhile, the Daily Star believe the Reds are lining up a double swoop for Hoffenheim pair Roberto Firmino and Kevin Volland. Volland and Firmino were linked with the club during the summer and supposedly remain on Brendan Rodgers transfer shortlist but Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rose is confident the club will not be forced to sell either player in January. And finally, Sport Witness have reported Liverpools interest in another Spanish goalkeeper - Espanyols Kiko Casilla. And Casilla has addressed rumours of Reds interest, saying: Ive not had a call from anyone at Madrid or Liverpool. Im serious. I dont know where that information has come from but, again, neither have called me or my representatives. But the Spaniard, who is still part-owned by Real Madrid, didnt rule out a move to Anfield, stating if Espanyol needed the money, he would leave.
