Victorious youth of this generation Higher Everyday TOPIC:SPIRITUAL AMPUTATION Wednesday, March 26, 2014 Text:“And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell...” (Mark 9:45) Diabetes is a deadly disease with life threatening complications. Wound infection is one of the common complications of Diabetes. A small wound in the lower limb can necessitate surgical amputation of the foot or leg to save the life of the victim. Many Diabetics prefer amputation of the affected limb to death from infection. Like Diabetes, sin is deadly and can kill except there is a major spiritual amputation. Dear youth, our text today says “… if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell…”. Hell is real. It is a place of unquenchable fire. No decent youth should desire such a place. To escape hell, repent of your sins and accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour today. Submit to Him, and give yourself to holy living. Wage war against sin by prayer and the study of God’s word. Separate yourself from everyone or everything that sets off unholy desires and lifestyle. Witness to other youths and help them to escape hell Challenge:Sin is deadly and leads to hell; cut it off. Prayer:Help me Lord to cut off from sinful lifestyle. Further Reading:Mark 9:43-48
