View in HD! Its about that time of year again. Fall is in the air and the big bucks will be shedding their velvet. Talk about being in the right place at the right time Rick Small, Tommy Kirkland and I witnessed this big 11 point buck shed his velvet from start to finish one early foggy September morning in the cove. He had the velvet hanging down on both sides of his head and he would sling his head to catch it in his mouth and then he would chew on it to help pull it from his antlers. Just listen how hard he is running his antlers on the fence wire and the old log trying to get rid of his velvet. This sure was a sight to see. Taken in Cades Cove last September 13, 2013 Although the video is not the best I wanted to share with others that have not witnessed this.
