Thank You! Yes, your info helps me a lot. Happy to hear it is also used for leaky gut as well. I have been reading the post on here. Take with Pepper? Does it work better using it with the Turmeric or can the Turmeric be taken alone? Gabby Back to Top Traveler Forum Moderator Date Joined May 2007 Total Posts : 10808 Posted Yesterday 4:17 PM (GMT -7) Welll, I havent ever taken it with pepper, but I put it into capsules myself, so it would be hard to regulate what I get each day. But it has helped me tremendously!! If you are going to purchase it already in capsules though, I would recommend at least trying it with the pepper for better absorption. It might mean you could take less. My husband who has arthritis in his back, hands, elbows shoulders, knees, feet says he cant get by without it any more!Lyme herbs used: Chronic Tonic from mistymeadows.org/wendydocs/Lyme Disease.pdf for 9 months Bart herb - only Houttuynia for 6 months tx ended 1-2013 Had Lyme, Bart, Babs, RMSF, Ehrlichia, Myco, Anaplasmosis, EBV Questions about what Ive posted or just have questions? I get them mainly from our health food store now that my doc has had to move out of state. I fill my own gel capsules with the herb of choice too. Nothing wrong with the raw herbs at all. Just out of curiosity do you get the dry herb or whole root and you grind it? Have you tried turmeric in tinctures at all? I do notice my digestion is better taking tumeric! My unknown future is in the hands of an all knowing God Abnormal is my new norm. I did start off with a turmeric tincture that my practitioner made, and she had said at that time that once we got it going in my system, I could switch to the dry herb any time. I choose to stay on the tincture for almost a year though before switching to the dry herb. Hi Shelly- I have found in my area that by buying the dry herb in larger quanitities (1/2 lb or full lb) and using a capsule filling station like Cap-em-quik (as in the one shown here:herbaffair/cap-m-quik-capsule-filling-machine/ (***I have no affiliation with this company, nor do I receive any kind of compensation for sharing this info or if you choose to buy a product through this company. This is just to show you what I use.) The gel caps can be purchased through a health food store or online, as in the ones shown here: amazon/Now-Foods-Gel-Caps-1000/dp/B004GWAWJW I usually use size O as they hold 500 mgs of most herbs, and its much easier to swallow than the OO that hold 1,000 mgs!!! Thats wonderful that you are noticing improvements!!! That means that inflammation was disrupting your digestion. Congratulations!! You are using herbs to treat some of your issues! :-)Lyme herbs used: Chronic Tonic from mistymeadows.org/wendydocs/Lyme Disease.pdf for 9 months Bart herb - only Houttuynia for 6 months tx ended 1-2013 Had Lyme, Bart, Babs, RMSF, Ehrlichia, Myco, Anaplasmosis, EBV Questions about what Ive posted or just have questions?
