Vishwajit Deshmukh , Mahiti Seva Samiti President, Mahrashtra complained to Police under Section 166 of IPC ( Public servant disobeying law, with intent to cause injury to any person)against a Public Information Officer who failed to provide information even after the order of the R T I Commission. (Punishment for IPC 166 is simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both).
