Vision for my Parliamentary Constituency I am contesting not for my personal benefit but for the general interest of ODISHA & for the public interest of Sambalpur in particular. Our BJD government gave the infrastructure & facilities to all industries to come & invest for which GDP of ODISHA going up. The ruling Congress at the centre is not cooperating our government & not looking deeply in to the displacement issues which cause agitation & revolts between regions, communities, groups, farmers, villages & between public. My vision is the Link Rivers to address flood, irrigation, displacement, marooned, draught, poverty, unemployment from western ODISHA. It can also solve the water need of different industries of Odisha. Proper planning is to be formulated for western odisha & should be implemented in a scientific manner to boost up inclusive growth to check regional imbalances. In all decision the consensus of the people of western odisha is to be given the first priority. Inclusive growth is essential for social & economic equity. Since INDIAs majority of people live in villages, it is easily seen that rural infrastructure is a major component for ensuring inclusive growth. Development of rural areas is slow due to improper & inadequate provision of infrastructure with compare to urban areas. That’s why rural share in GDP is always less. The planning and development of human settlements & provision of required infrastructure are much better in urban areas for which rural population of western Odisha migrates to urban cities in a greater way for employment opportunities & better facilitates. There is then a need to encourage reverse migration to rural areas through proper development of rural infrastructure & basic amenities by creation of income generation avenues and improving the quality of life. Infrastructure has been one of the munch neglected aspects of Indian agriculture. Along with land, labour and capital the income generating from agriculture is being directly linked to the quality of infrastructure. The agricultural infrastructure includes all of the basic services, facilities, equipments & institutions needed for the economic growth and efficient functioning of the food & fibre markets. It should be noted that, the infrastructure in the agricultural sector enhances the comparative advantages of that region in which the infrastructural investment is made. My prime interest is to look in to this agricultural infrastructure of western Odisha. For the balance growth of any economy, rural sector needs equal attention, than that of its urban counterpart. At the same time PPP model to be boost up in the western Odisha, to check regional imbalances from the region. Rural infrastructure is not only a key component of rural development but also an important ingredient in ensuring any sustainable poverty reduction programme. The proper development of infrastructure in rural areas improves rural economy & quality of life. It promotes better productivity, increased agricultural incomes, adequate employment. Hence my, commitment is to promote rural infrastructure of western Odisha to promote rural employment & check rural poverty. Cast your vote for BJD.
