Volunteer Opportunity! Our very own Peter Foertsch, the awesome Assistant Principal at Barkstall Elementary School in Champaign, is in need of 6-8 volunteers per day to help run some “recess clinics” for all students. These clinics would be short times where volunteers would explain the expectation of a recess activity (kickball, soccer, monkey bars…) and practice these with the students. The hope is that this will help reinforce positive play and the following of our recess expectations, as well as encourage fitness in everyday life. They really would appreciate any help at all. Times: July 22nd , 23rd and possibly the 24th from 11:00-12:45. (or even part of the time, just let Peter know) Where: Barkstall Playground (Curtis Road in Champaign between Mattis and Duncan).
