Voodoo I am curious what Voodoo is ? what I know it just black magic doll can be used to harm people but actually it is more than just a doll. according to them Voodoo is religion it has ritual, it has theology. voodoo means spirit. they contact directly with spirit as the messenger of God. It was Originally from west Africa. during slavery they brought this culture/ism to the new places such as cuba or even America. during that period they have been intermingled with Local and mix the religion between Catholicism and Voodo it self. The Voodoo it self teaches good thing however it can be mix for good and evil. they have ritual to sacrifice blood on the statue or skull or eating the raw meat. they believes Voodoo as way of life. Voodoo can be used to invoke positive energy. it is well known with voodoo doll. people might use the doll to gain love, power, luck etc by simply put the pins (colour) on some part of the doll body and also can be used as opposite to harm, bringing misery to enemy etc. the method by taking a person hair, belonging, picture and request the doll to call upon spirit forces. The voodoo doll is used to represent the spirit of a specific person. she/he can address the voodoo doll as if he/she is talking to that person, requesting a change in attitude, influencing the person to act according to he/she wishes. however they also believe to use voodoo for bad thing it can bring karma who can back lashes them. one it is failed it will returned to the person. In Islamic perspective it is purely dealing with Jin and Islam prohibited such action as it is Shirk. sorcery black magic has no place in Islam. however Islam gives awareness such thing is exist and it teaches Muslim how to encounter it. called Ruqyah. In many religious believe such spirit is exist. most of them dealing and coexist. they believe the spirit living with us therefore require to respect one another by giving them something in order to avoid any harm. where in Islam take strong stand that Muslim should not associate with the Jin/butokala to avoid any bad thing as the spirit can see us and yet we cant see them also to avoid grave sin by relaying our life to them instead to God. asking them instead to God, surrender ourselves to them instead to God. if we do not even know who they are and their nature why would we take them as Patron ? indeed God is sufficient to us. youtube/watch?v=flzmmUQSCh8
