WADEM recently received a donation in support of the 19th World Congress on Disaster Emergency Medicine (WCDEM). The WADEM Board of Directors unanimously decided to allocate the funds from the donation as Registration Waivers (Scholarships) for students to attend the Congress through a competitive selection process. Those students awarded a waiver will not need to pay the registration fee. Interested students will need to complete the following in order to be considered for a registration waiver: A completed application form,accessible at the following URL - wadem.org/wcdem/waiver_application.pdf. Applicants must provide a 500-750 word essay in English on one of the following topics: Creating Capacity, Building Resilience in Disaster and Emergency Health; or Challenges for Evidence-Based Research in Disaster Health for the next ten years. Please indicate how you learned of the WCDEM Student Scholarship program. A commitment statement that you intend to attend 19th WCDEM.
