bike friends, i need your advice*! ive been trying to bike more -- including to and from the metro -- to work my way up to biking into the office. im terrible at it. like, really really bad. but its so much fun and im determined to get better. today, when i got off the train i realized somebody stole my bike seat. mind you, my bike was purchased at target and that seat is *maybe* worth $20 on its own. tops. i own a cheap bike because i dont bike enough to justify a fancy one. if i start biking into work every day, maybe ill invest more... ok, now the question: is my only option to buy a new seat and take it with me every time i lock up my bike? that seems overly cumbersome but im drawing a blank on how else to proceed. HALP. *this post was 95% for advice and 5% hoping that somebody will encourage me to keep trying even though i am a sweaty mess after walking my bike all the way home seething that somebody thinks a damn schwinn seat is worth stealing while more experienced bikers breezed past me without breaking a sweat.
