*WARNING* For all of you participating in the Elf on a shelf thing: This is no more and no less a broad experiment in conditioning of small children. You are helping to condition them to be watched in the place where they should feel free to do or say whatever they feel like, right or wrong. Read the book 1984, in there the people are watched in their homes, the cameras were probably covered in every day items, placed on shelves. I may be overly paranoid, but anything that affects our children should be subject to scrutiny and questioned as to how a government could exploit this later. For a hundred years St. Nick didnt need physical spies/snitches, he just knew if you were naughty or nice. So rip those little snitches down give and big brother the finger. Question authority or do as youre told.
