WARNING: This post may contain sappy material. Cry baby discretion is advised. ... Today is my last and final day of my five week work placement that I had to complete for my public relations diploma program. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had and feel I have truly grown as a PR professional. As someone who has such a passion for public relations, for helping others and building mutually beneficial relationships, the College Student Alliance Updates was the perfect work placement for me. I had a relationship with them beforehand, and knew that this is where I wanted to do my placement. The team is beyond incredible. They challenge you in a way that is so encouraging because you know theyre doing it because they believe in you. Theyre supportive in all that you do and always there to provide feedback and advice. They step back and play a hands off role because they trust you and know that you are capable of achieving your tasks. They give students the opportunity to shine and be a leader, and as Ted would say, to be a STAR. The College Student Alliance has been a major part of making me who I am today, and I could not be happier. I have met amazing people through all of the experiences presented by CSA, and I will always cherish that. I was lucky enough to finish my placement with a group of inspiring student leaders at CSA Pres Workshop - the perfect way to end as it is my last conference with CSA too, soon to no longer be a board member of Conestoga Students Inc. I could go on and on, but I am going to stop there and just say thank you to Ted, Vero, Shannon, Tyler and John (and Maggie) for being such a welcoming and encouraging team. And to all the SA members who I have met through CSA for being a part of this amazing journey. YOURE ALL STARS! YOU ARE GOING TO SHINE IN ALL THAT YOU DO.
