WE SHALL CONTINUE TO INVEST IN EDUCATION...KWANKWASO Kano state governor, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso says the state government’s sponsorship of students to study various courses within and outside the country is an investment in the future of the state. The governor stated this while receiving a group of 36 students on the state government’s scholarship, pursing different specialized courses. 25 of the students were sponsored to study Marine in Engineering in India, six are presently at the Nigerian Matime Academy, Oron and five are attending the Nigeria Civil Aviation College, Zaria. Governor Kwankwaso described education as an everlasting legacy that is central to human development, saying it is in realization of this that his administration is according top priority to the sector of education. He reassured that the government will continue to support young indigenes of the state to make the best use of their potentials for the good of the state and the nation at large, advising them not to abuse the opportunity provided. Turning to the visiting students, the governor promised that they will continue to enjoy government support so that they can complete their studies successfully. He charged them to pay adequate attention to moral and academic excellence to forge ahead in life. On his part, Hamza Mustafa Buhari told the governor they are studying hard to justify government’s investment in their education, adding that they will continue to be good ambassadors of the state wherever they found themselves. He said the 25 students that were sponsored to study Marine Engineering in India last year are now proceeding to the UK to continue their studies for 3 more years and thanked the governor for his foresight.
