WHAT DO YOU KNOW FATHER JOE? I read a great quote the other day from the National Catholic Register (Sept 7—20, 2014) titled, “Take Time to Pray”. “This is in “God’s plan for you today (to pray). God has a very specific plan for you today. A plan that will give him glory and bring you closer to perfection. His plan for you includes all of the time and resources for everything he wants you to do today. So stop worrying about things outside your control. It also includes time for all the setbacks you encounter. So don’t get discouraged with they occur. His plan for you includes time to rest. So rest. Most importantly, it includes time with him. It includes time for prayer. So don’t miss your time to pray. No matter how busy your are you’ve been given precisely enough time for prayer today. So pray. If you get to the end of the day and say “I didn’t have time to pray today,” it would be a lie. The truth will have been that you chose to do something else instead, which was no more important. Pray.” Way too often we get up in the morning and say “if I have time to pray I will pray.” Usually this doesn’t work at all because we get busy and no prayer happened. Like anything that is really important we make time to pray. Sometime this week sit still for at least ten minutes and say to God, “When is the best time for me to pray?” Then be quiet and listen. In his immense love he will tell you. Then as the commercial says, “Just Do It”.
