WHAT GOD GIVES YOU FOR YOUR RACE IN LIFE & DESTINY 1 CORINTHIANS 9:24-27 Whether you are aware of it or not, Christianity is a race of life and destiny; it is not a game. Your enlistment in that race is your discovery. Whether you run the race of life and destiny well, is your decision. You may be bothered about many things right now, but you need to know that the heavenly hosts are primarily concerned about where you are in the race of life and destiny and how you are running your own aspect of the race. The Apostle said “so run that ye may obtain” the truth is that the Bible will always leave clues on how to run. There is a way and manner to run the race if you intend to obtain the crown that God has set ahead of you. God showed me that the assignment in your hand; given and assigned you by the Lord is your future and how you prepare yourself for it and execute it, is how your future will turn out in the purpose of God. I remember the first time God gave me the message NO CASE IS CLOSED WITH GOD from the story of Lazarus, it was in a night vigil of less than 20 people but I gave it my best and it was burning in my heart. I kept developing it and lo and behold, the next time God told me to preach that message was at the anniversary of an international ministry. I never knew that such a message was going to affect my future. Some men with international healing ministries today can trace their history to the assignment they were given to hold the bottle of anointing oil for their man of God. Little did they know that what they were doing was directly linked to their race and how well they were running their race! Nobody’s future is a result of what another person does or doesn’t do. It is what God gives you to do in order to shape you for Himself that is most crucial in your race of life and destiny. When God came for Elisha through Elijah, He gave him an assignment to shape him into what God would have him become. THE ASSIGNMENT THAT GOD GIVES YOU SHAPES YOU FOR THE POSITION THAT HE HAS RESERVED FOR YOU. Never let the assignment that God has given you be taken from your hand because it is tantamount to being disrobed in the spirit realm. Attend to the tasks that are assigned to you with great detail and commitment, whether it was assigned through your pastor or the structure of your church. Always have in front of you WHAT YOU ARE BECOMING BY THE ASSIGNMENT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU. Prayer: Lord, deliver me from carelessness and help me to attend to my divine assignment with a greater sense of accountability in Jesus’ name, amen.
