WHAT WOULD YOU DO? A member of my parish planned a Quinceanera and Mass for her 15 year old daughter. Before the party the same young lady was picked up at the mall for shop-lifting. She had a report filed against her by the police. Would you still give her the party? Or would you cancel the party but have the mass or would you cancel the whole thing? Also, not sure if this relevant, but the family are undocumented. Her arrest could put her family in jeopardy, if we had a hard core anti-illegals government in Utah.
