WHAT WOULD YOU DO? part 2 As parents we always want whats best for our kids, everything from school, to appearance, to excelling in sports to even WHO they date. As parents we also know that kids are very impressionable, gullible and often flat out blind. And it only gets worse during their high school years, especially if you havent established early, your rules of whats allowed and what you absolutely wont tolerate. With that being said what would you do if you have a teenage child who is dating someone, but their parent are racist? Would you? A. Invite the racist parents over for dinner, so they can experience the acceptance of diversity and Jesus in your home? B. Tell your child to dump their crush for fear of what the racist parents may do? C. Allow your child to make their own decisions of who they date regardless of the detriments? D. Tell your child that racists parents who hate African Americans with their white daughters, can cause a lot of problems in your life. These are however real life issues that exist today, yet we dont communicate these things to our kids until its usually too late. And by the time you decide to wanna finally talk to your kids, your daughter has already popped up pregnant by the son of a KKK member or an atheist. Or your son has already coughed up his full ride scholarship to Princeton or Med School over some new booty. Stop trying to be your kids friends and be their parents. Raising kids includes a safe home, education, hygiene, medical care, clean decent clothing, implementation of Christ, communication, Respect, occasionally whooping of ass and of course generous portions of love. You can be friends once your kids are grown and gone! ~♥Poetiklover♥~
