WHAT’S ON COFFS 21/3/2014 SATURDAY 22nd March – FREE COFFS AMBASSADOR TOUR – Sea Turtles of the Solitary Islands Guided Tour around Look at Me Now Headland – Nature Reserve from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Learn how to spot sea turtles and hear fascinating stories of these ancient creatures that live in our Solitary Islands Marine Park. On this short 1.5km walk around Look at Me Now Headland, you will enjoy stunning views over the Coffs Coast and towards the Great Dividing Range and discover the diversity of animals that live in this unique environment. – Northern NSW Football (Soccer) Country Skills Acquisition Tournament held at C.ex International Stadium gates are open to the public and games go into the evening both Saturday & Sunday. Wanna pick up some tips from the professionals coaching New South Wales best pop out and have a look at the competition ITS FREE ! – The Inaugural SUP/Kayak Race on Coffs Creek starting at the Promenade 1:00pm – 4:30pm Have a Paddle to help Conquer Cancer The event is to help raise much needed funds for The Chris OBrien Life house. A team of dedicated women from Coffs Harbour will be riding 200 ks in October 2014 to show their support for the cause. To support in this mission the women are running a series of fundraisers starting with some fun on the water this Saturday 22nd March. Registration is at 1pm for a 1.30 start, entry fee is $10 for all who come along. There is a banana circle, nursery, fruit forest, sensory garden, wood-fired pizza oven, mandala garden, communal garden beds, garden plots for individuals and much more. – FREE COFFS AMBASSADOR TOUR A Sense of Moonee a Guided Tour with experienced guide Sandy. 4:00pm - 6:00pm Explore the unique coastal environments along the Moonee Creek estuary and be surprised by the magnificent ocean views when you reach Green Bluff Headland. Enjoy a medium grade, 3 km summer afternoon’s walk along Moonee Creek estuary and beyond. Watch for birds like Osprey as you hear about the variety of animals that live above and below the water. Be surprised by the different types of bushland being restored by Landcare volunteers as you walk up to Green Bluff headland, where you will be rewarded by picturesque ocean views. The day will also offer bike safety and maintenance tips, BMX riding demonstration laps, knowledge to improve your BMX riding skills, experience the thrill of BMX racing and most of all find a great club and sport.
