WHO IS YOUR COUNSELLOR? I. Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. ( Proverbs 11:14) II. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. ( Psalm 33:11) III. Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors ( Psalm 119:24) IV. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,.... ( Psalm 1:1) * Therere many instances in our lives that we get confuse over a situation in choosing the right decision. These situations normally calls for what we call COUNSEL. * A counsel is defined simply as an advice. Its an information for direction. It gives an instruction for action. The nature of the action depends on the type of counsel. Thus to make the right move or action, we need the right counsel. * The type of counsel will depend on its source. This might be a person or a thing. The source of counsel is mainly a personality which will either be God or man or Satan or even a mixture. The result of following the counsel will also depend on these sources of counsels. * We see in Proverbs 11:14 that lack of counsel leads to failure. Adding to that, Ill say, lack of the right counsel also lead not just to a failure but destruction. Thus we must seek the right counsel at all times. * In times where counsel is needed, we hear so many different counsels in our ears and minds. Which one of them is right? We often ask. Different friends giving different advices. The devil also speaking to us. Not forgetting our flesh also raising its voice in our minds. However in the midst of all these voices, theres a still, gentle, solemn, small voice speaking inside of you. That is the voice of the wonderful counsellor, the creator in you giving you solution to deliver you from your confusion. This voice is so small that we normally dont recognise it but only deny it. But we must respond and attend to it at all times for our own safety sake. * This wonderful counsel can be intensified by the lips of a friend or a minster of God through the Holy Ghost. However, we need to still confirm it. Thus I would advice you know this voice for yourself. This counsel is already in the word of God ( by revelation). God will never contradict Himself. We need to know the word for ourselves in order for us to validate any external counsel not from the still small voice within. Hence we must get on the word. Constantly feed on the word at all times. Practice it and train yourself to be led by it. * Beloved, never treat your life as a gamble. In your choice of partner for marriage, your schooling (course to pursue), your business and all aspect of your life never depart from the counsel of the Lord. Seek Gods counsel at all times and youll never fail or be destroyed in Jesus name. Stay Bless.
