WHO IS YOUR MENTOR? There are many factors that can make it difficult or even impossible to implement your ideas. I have made countless mistakes in my ministry, marriage, relationships, health and in life generally. There are some I could not easily correct again. But one principle that helped me a great deal was riding on the shoulders of successful people to see farther, avoid mistakes and get my ideas working well. At a time, I was fed up with building the ministry God gave me. I tried every church growth principle I knew but none worked. Frustrated, I concluded in my mind to abandon everything and travel out of the country. In the midst of that situation, I decided to seek the counsel of my mentor, Dr. David Oyedepo. I related my ordeals to him and asked him what to do next. His answer was not what I expected but it changed my perception. He simply said: keep doing what you have been doing that got you to this place. The truth was that I wanted to succeed in a hurry but in that answer, he let me know that there is a process to everything. That is what a good mentor does. – Pastor Sam Adeyemi
