WORD Today 1/8/15 1Jn4:19--5:4 Lk4:14-22 Its our mission to do good & be Christs epiphany to others. Todays Gospel presents us w/ a unique challenge. Have you seen Christ in others? When Christ preached in His hometown, His townmates couldnt see Christ in Him! Their closed minds chose to see only a son of man & so they couldnt see the Son of God. Remembering only what He was, they couldnt see what He had become. Christ came to make God seen but first He had to grow in body, mind & in favor w/ God (Lk2:52). Thus too ought we to see others as Gods work-in-progress, in varying stages of becoming His epiphany. God sent Christ to proclaim liberty to captives. (Lk4:18) May God set us free from the prison of bias & see Him working in others.
