**WORLD SPEARFISHING TITLES** The Australian Spearfishing Team is currently over in Peru for the World Titles. Bryson Sheehy, Adam Smith and Gunther Pfrengle are three of Australias best divers headed up by experienced team manager David Birch. Heres their first update. First night in Lima was an exciting one, after listening to dave and gunther negotiate there way through rental car BS and the ridiculous $$$ for over an hour, it was just one of the many things requiring patience around here. The flight in and out of chile is something else but, snow capped mountains on one side of plane, ocean on other! if only the goldy had that. first thoughts when flying in was the calmness of the seas, there was no wind yesterday, but it is dirty, from what we could see through the rubbish floating around. the traffic seems to not have many rules except its accepted to beep your horn anytime, but no screaming matches occur. just beep and move on... it took like 1.5 hours to do 5km. and we had no map, no car rental map, no sim would fit our phones, so we winged it till a servo, no maps there. then dave got his phones GPS working, turns out we were winging it in the wrong direction. heading down to comp town today, adam didnt fly with weights, so see how he goes. and im in discussions with a boat owner whom owns 5-5.5m boat with 150 yam.
