WXCY Salutes our local heroes at 9am, Noon and 5pm every Monday for MILITARY MONDAYS with Canby Motors Collision Repair! Todays honoree: Army LOTS, James Watkins of Aberdeen, MD!! James attended boot camp at Ft. Dix, NJ, he has been to Vietnam, Wiesbaden Germany, spent 11 months as an IRR (Individual Ready Reserve, Dessert Storm, South Korea, and was APG Wheel and Track Instructor for Professional Development of Officers before he retired from active duty. He was awarded Meritorious Service Metal, ARCOM V device, Presidential Citation for Valor, and Presidential Unit Citation. He enjoys fishing, pool, poker, horseshoes and spending time with his hree wonderful kids, Tom, Conan and Sacha and his 6 grandkids. We honor Maryland native and local hero James Watkins for his service to our country.
