Wait...the bricks, scrolls and tin squares are all claimed? I never got an answer to my question about exactly what they are. I might have liked to buy one, if I could have been sure of what I was buying. But now I have larger questions. How widespread was the information about the availability of these items? Did only people in this Facebook group know? There was nothing on the Corporation web site. I did not see it on Twitter. And since the sale was apparently done with the official backing of the Corporation, I think there was an obligation to make the opportunity known to the wider TI Park community. Grassroots bake sale or tee-shirt sale? Fine; publicize it on Facebook. Sale of historically significant Corporation assets? Publicize it to the entire TI Park community. And how did the organizers come up with the prices of these items? If they sold out in 24 hours, Economics 101 tells you the price was too low. Imagine if there had been a well-publicized auction of these items. I think they would have brought several hundred dollars each.
