Walahi talahi bilahi we can never be like the companions... Did you know how the son of umar ibn khattab(RA) died in his fathers hand? One day his son was so feeling blue that he eventually slept with a girl who he was not married to outside their domain. Months passed this lady became pregnant and actually bore a child. When umar ibn khattab(RA) became the khaleefa, I.e ameeru mumeeni the lady stepped forward to report the son to his father after much consultation the boy confessed to the crime. As we know the sharia of islam about fornication is 100 lashes. Umar ibn khattab ordered that his son be beaten, every other companions begged him to pardon him he asked, what is our use if we refuse to uphold the laws of Allah. They started beating the boy, unfortunately the boy passed away between 80-90 lashes and after he died, umar ordered that his corpse be beaten with the remaining lashes. Allahu akbar How many of us can ever do this? Are we true to Allah? How many of us covered up ourselves and our own kids in sin.
