...Walking In The Spiritual Dimension.... September 12, 2014 Todays Prayer Dear Jesus the mediator to the Father in Heaven, People have written books on how to be highly effective and successful leaders, churches, parents and so on. I want to become a more effective Christian. Please help me improve my walk and focus on You first in life. Im giving my thoughts and actions to You. In my own human capacity, without Your guidance, it is impossible for me to be an effective Christian. May Your Spirit flow through me and use me to minister to others, to reach out to the lost, and to love those around me with a Godly love. May You be glorified. Within this day Jesus, lead...guide...direct and strengthen me that I will make and be the change NOW! Thank You for the lessons I have learned. Most of all, thank You for being there with me through it all and for carrying me all the way. Lord Jesus and my heavenly Father, thank You for my help meet...Genesis 2:18, my lover and friend-my wife...Thank You for her strength and abilities given by You. Continue to be her support and guide in a time such as these...Allow us to continue the growth in You that You have begun over 40 years ago in this union...Let not anything even attempt to destroy or come between us in any shape, form nor fashion...help us to remember too, Gods Demand For Obedience and Acceptance of His call... Amen September 12, 2014 Todays Devotional Good Evening All, Will You Cross Over The Goal Line?... Numbers 20: 11-12 (topic using these verses 11-12 KJV) 11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also. 12 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. Will you fulfill the destiny God has for your life? Perhaps you have never thought about it. God had a perfect plan for Moses to lead the people out of Egypt and into the Promised Land. Its been said the hardest place to score a touchdown is from the goal line. Youre almost there. But there is something about crossing over that makes those last few yards the most difficult. Moses failed at the goal line, and it prevented him from finishing well a glorious life of service for God. The people of Israel were complaining that they did not have water to drink. It was another of many tests for Israel. Moses inquired of God and God said, Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink. (Numbers 20:8 KJV) Moses, in his frustration and anger with the people, began to act on his own and made a strategic mistake. Instead of speaking to the rock, he struck the rock twice with his staff. In spite of his disobedience, the rock poured forth water. God was calling Moses to a different dimension. Moses was to use his words to speak the miracle. However, he not only lost his temper, but he also took credit and dishonored God. He used his staff, the symbol of his life work as a shepherd, to force the provision. When we become callous, we can use our skills and abilities to force what we believe should happen. We take control. When we do this, we are in danger of failing to enter the Promised Land of blessing from God. Living in lifes spiritual dimension requires patience and obedience. Beware of solving problems in your own strength. God wants to bring you into the Promised Land of His blessing. But it will require walking in the spiritual dimension. Be Blessed...Stand for truth as God has said it...
