Want to be free from anxiety and depression? Wean your soul off the world and rest in Jesus whose burden is light and yoke is easy. We werent meant to carry the weight of the world on our hearts and we can all find our rest in Christ. Psalm 131: O LORD, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty; Nor do I involve myself in great matters, Or in things too difficult for me. 2Surely I have composed and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child rests against his mother, My soul is like a weaned child within me. Matthew 11: 28Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. 29Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.… Take him at His Word! It is impossible for God to lie, but it is not impossible for you to doubt ;) Oh, I wish it were impossible for me to doubt so I could rest easier in the Lord. Trusting Him brings joy unspeakable which is FULL of glory! Doubting His promises brings anxiety and stress. Lord, help us surrender our will to You so that we can find rest for our tired, working souls.
