Want to know why todays a great day for new film releases? Lets run them down: 1. Birdman - Michael Keatons comeback film, likely to be a strong Oscar contender (limited release) 2. Dear White People - One of my favorites out of Sundance finally comes out and with 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, I am glad to see that I am not alone. Read my thoughts below (limited release, wide release on 10/24). 3. Camp X-Ray - Another favorite out of Sundance that while it has lost some muster in my brain, remains a really good set piece for Kristen Stewart that reminds you that she can act. Also, check out my Letterboxd for my official stance (VOD, limited release). 4. Listen Up, Philip - The closest that well get to that Bored to Death movie for awhile, as reviews claim that Jason Schwartzman is essentially Jonathan Ames (limited release) 5. The Tale of Princess Kaguya - Its Studio Ghibli, so it must be good, right? (limited release) 6. Fury - I only mention so I can say this: I wouldnt go out there unless I was in one of those big iron things, go up and down like this... What do you call-a those things? Tanks Youre welcome.
