Warren Dhu Wins Again at Lismore Media release by Motorsport Promotions Round 3 of the J & M Racecraft 4 Cylinder Super at Lucas Oil Lismore Speedway with some of the best 4 Cylinder Racing ever seen at the venue. Warren Dhu would again taste victory with only 5 points separating the top 6 cars at the end of the round. Round 1 would see local driver Aaron Knox Take the win in heat 1 from series leader Hamish Redman with Brock Hancock third. In Heat 5 Darryl Oliver lead all the way from Dean Burke and Matthew Claydon. Heat 6 was where all the drama would unfold with Ben Stead clipping a wheel and rolling onto the concrete wall in what was on of the hardest crashes seen in 4 Cylinder Racing. Stead would be removed from the wreck and taken to hospital where he would be later diagnosed with a crushed vertebra. Fortunately Stead will make a full recovery unlike his badly damaged car. Racing would continue with Warren Dhu taking the win from Matthew Layton and Brock Hancock filling the minors. Round 3 would see Daniel Smith take the first win of the round from Allen Schultz and Trevor Brown. Cameron Taylor would take his 2nd win in heat 8 with Matthew Layton in 2nd and Paul redman in 3rd. The Torquewear Super Six would again see the top six drivers battle it out over 3 x 2 lap’s sprint races. Warren Dhu and Matthey Layton would emerge tied on points, while series leader Hamish Redman would fail to make the six for the first time for the series. Locals would fill 4 of the top 6 spots with Taylor and Schultz the exceptions. Dhu would win the first run with Layton close behind. Taylor would win the second only to be relegated back to 2nd after a questionable pass on the last corner giving Schultz the win with Dhu in Third. Taylor would win the final sprint with Claydon in 2nd and Dhu in 3rd. This would leave Taylor and Dhu tied on points with Taylor taking the Super Six after setting the fastest lap time and a new 2 lap record in the 2nd run. The final would see and inverted top 10 leaving Dhu and Layton to start 9th and 10th. Hancock would lead the field away but would only last 2 laps before retiring to the infield. Elliott would inherit he lead for only a lap before Taylor would take over and never be headed. Racing would continue until Elliott , Hamish Redman and Aaron Knox tangled. The washup would result in Elliott being unable to continue and Knox sent to the rear of the field. The fall of the checker would see Taylor take the win in a masterful performance with Hamish Redman in 2nd, Paul redman in third and Dhu in 4th. But the Round would again belonged to Warren Dhu who would take the win by 3 point from Taylor with third place again going to Hamish Redman with only 5 points separating the top 6. Hamish Redman would still leave leading the points with Warren Dhu moving to 2nd and Taylor close behind in 3rd.
