Was down Castle Island yesterday with some of my kids and grandkids and couldnt believe the impromptu meetings of old friends. First picture, Lois Connors, Mary Gearin and Husband Al. Second picture, Mary Gearin, Ed Marks, Jane Broughton Marks, Al (Marys husband) and Maureen Hurley. Mary and Lois still live in Southie. I grew up on Fourth Street with Mary and Jane. I am close friends with Jane still but havent seen Mary or the others for ages. What a pleasant surprise. Originally we were going to Georges Island but due to weather forecast decided not to. Am I glad we didnt.
