Was it necessary for Mr President to have banned Boko Haram in the first place? This has given room to some who criticize the government of president Jonathan for reason other than to constructive criticism, to up their ante by saying that he did so to satisfy external interests. Granted that was it, what gives? If the so called external interests find a meeting point with our general interest as a nation, must we on that account shy away from collaborating with them? The banning of Boko Haram, for goodness sake, was mere surplusage. In the first place, has it been existing lawfully?. We all need to close rank on the issue of these merchants of death called the Boko Haram and stop the unnecessary political grandstanding. The serpent has crawled into our living room and our children and the uninitiated all risk fatal snake bites if we continue to address it by its euphemism of "ground rope" instead of the bare word "SNAKE"!
